I had mixed feelings going to the venue today seeing mixed reviews. Its always daunting trying new hairdressers with my hair! But what a great local hairdressers to have on the doorstep! Sonia with the cut was amazing and a great shampoo followed with a conditioning head massage. Staff were friendly and welcoming! No awkward hairdresser conversations here, very easy to talk to all staff! Apparently there is a take over happening and refurb which I can’t wait to see and attend for my next appointment! Can't recommend Sonia enough. So happy to help and polite on the phone. She managed to fit me in super last minute for a hair up and was a pleasure to have do my hair. Also her styling was 10/10! Shall be going back purely to have Sonia again!

I wanted to support a local hairdressers and made an appointment during Tier 4 of the Pandemic. I was asked to sit on the black couch which on closer inspection was covered in hair. The lady that shampooed, was nice and chatty, however, the hair cut was very uneven and she failed to cross check the cut. Looking around, the salon was very dirty. the shelves for product and shelve in front of the cutting mirror was very very dusty.Not just recent missed cleaning. Recently had an appointment with The Venue. Was disappointed that my appointment was incorrectly booked, resulting in five hours in the salon. Upon getting home I was so disappointed with both the cut, and colour of my hair. Asked for ashy blonde, and my hair was practically yellow. I hadn’t noticed under the bright lights of the salon, but was so gutted when I realised. I tried this salon once recently. Was disappointed that everything is very unhygienic and left me unpleasant experience. The staff was quite rude when I asked to have a clean towel to remove some hair from my face. I do not recommend this service unless this is your only option.
