Food was absolutely disgusting. You would do better goimg to a food truck around here. Churros were hard as a rock and the brisket enchiladas was just dry shredded beef and all of it had no seasoning whatsoever!! The drinks are by far the worst drinks ive ever had in nola period and usually they all taste great! Also for a mexican spot all they played was country lol.
We were at the Velvet Cactus last night and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was great, the food excellent and our waitress Sharon went way out of her way to make sure we’re were all well taken care of. She was friendly courteous and provided great customer service.
LOUD! And our order was put in and not even sent to the kitchen for a solid 40 minutes then we had to wait for it to be prepared for another 30 mins. The place was overrun by extremely obnoxious people, including Packd of at least eight children running through the tables and the courtyard at full speed while their parents would do nothing about correcting them, even though they knew it was upsetting other customers. Good hospitality, diego’s fish tacos with corn tortilla were bomb. Tried both version fried and grilled. Don’t get the Mexican pizza, it’s not pleasant.
