Nestled in the Belmont hills, this was originally the Japanese Tea House for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Breathtaking views of the bay, comfortable booths and a cozy ambiance characterize this eatery. There is also a football card which entitles you to a free dinner, if the eight pro teams you pick for the weekend win. Try the onion soup au gratin, it deserves a special mention, as does the rich chocolate mousse.

A bay area treasure with amazing food.
Very high class food.
I worked as a vendor for Van's so I didn't get any food, but it is so much more than expected. The restaurant has a great view of the bay and the service was 5 stars. I can't wait to go and have sine great food and conversation at Van's on the Hill soon.
The Van's Restaurant On the Hill has a 4.4 star rating with 499 reviews.
The Van's Restaurant On the Hill is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
