I recently had cataract surgery at Vanguard Eye Institute in Santa Monica, and the whole experience was excellent. Dr. William Christien is not only highly skilled but also caring and attentive, he really listened to my concerns. The results have been amazing: I now have 20/20 vision, and everything is crystal clear. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend him to anyone. Seriously, don't even think about going anywhere else!
I just had my left eye cataract surgery done by Dr Christian and Wednesday will be my right eye. Was impressed from the very beginning, The office staff is very professional and Dr. Christian himself explained in detail the procedure I would be having. There were options and he told me what he considered the best. My only issue and it seems all doctors in large buildings have the same problem. $30 for parking but they warned me before I got there giving me plenty of time to get there early and find a place on the street.... read more
It has been just over two months since Dr. Christian performed my cataract surgery and I cannot be happier with the outcome. The recovery was easy (over in a few weeks) and my eyesight is excellent. The whole process, from the surgery itself to the outcome, has been exactly as Dr. Christian described. In the consultations leading up to the surgery, he answered every question patiently and clearly. The whole team was great.
I had a wonderful experience during my appointment at the Vanguard Eye Institute on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The measurements that were done on my eyesight by the assistant were very good and helpful, based on my status of having some blurred vision in my right eye, which I think was a result of a new prescription that my regular doctor had placed me on. Dr. Christian is clearly at the top of his game. Just had cataract surgery and am very happy with my new eyes! Dr. Christian is experienced, professional, and has good bed side manners. His staff are always friendly. I highly recommend The Vanguard Eye Institute.
