Its a difficult place to review because it isnt fully a hotel. There isnt a restaurant/bar during the day so no room service. No normal services like bellman. They have a starbucks coffee machine but wasnt working over the weekend but do have a machine in the room (no cream). The staff were very nice and extremely helpful when we needed them. No service provided ie food, bar, even coffee (non working coffee machine). This isn't really a hotel but more like a place for owners to shift some of the costs of operation. While the rooms are spacious and the looks of the hotel are nice it's hard to get over the lack of normal services.
Had the most uncanning experience at check in with an assistant name Cici who did her very best to convince me not to stay at the Vanderbilt. I took her advice and canceled. Saved about $700 going to another hotel. If you’re a manager, check the interaction on May 4 2026 between 7:09 and 7:13 pm. Im sure I’m not the first person who’s experienced a similar interaction.
We had a fantastic stay at the Vanderbilt, but the standout moment was the checkout process. CC handled everything with such grace and efficiency. It’s rare to find staff who is that personable. She is a true asset to the team, and we’ll definitely be back!
