This is the only UPS store in the area that will charge you to finish taping up your box. I took my box in for an RMA and they told me that I had to buy $12.99 worth of tape to tape the box up completely. After I paid him $12.99 he told me I could have paid a two dollar service fee to have them tape up the box. I called five other UPS stores in the area, and none of them charges to finish taping up a box. This is ridiculous. Do not use this store. They are a rip off.

I’m not going to say what I really want to say but I’m not surprised! lol… I usually go to the downtown Crown UPS location because I didn’t realize there was a UPS Store here, and that one is a little farther away. After coming to this location, though, I definitely won’t be back. I’ve returned plenty of packages at different UPS locations and have never been charged just to tape a package closed. The UPS Store at Frederick rd and shady grove Avenue went above and beyond to repair a damaged box for a return I had. So nice of them, especially Shailesh, to help me out.

This place is unprofessional and rude, and will try and scam you into purchasing items not needed. I shipped a package back in the same packaging received and they try to get me to purchase a box and state they couldn’t ship. I am going to report you the state attorneys office because of your business practices and discrimination as they didn’t treat your white customers this way! This is the second time they try to tell me something that was not true as I did not have this problem at the Germantown UPS store.

I’ve been a regular customer here and have spent hundreds of dollars shipping through this location, but after my latest experience, I won’t be returning. I came in with a package fully prepared except for one small 10” piece of tape, which I was unaware I even needed. I was told it would cost $1 or I’d have to leave and come back with it taped.
