Was there for a med change and bad anxiety a few months back, and they were very professional caring and one on one of you needed anything!!! If I have any issues like that again I will definitely be going there!!!
The food was good. The staff (techs and nurses) were fantastic, my issue isn't with them. My issue is with the psychiatrists.. I kept telling them medication was no longer working, I know that's not their fault, I get that. Dr. Imram(sp) was extremely unpleasant to deal with. I went with suicidal ideation and they pushed me out feeling worse off than when I arrived. In good faith, I can't recommend this place. Cruel, jail-like atmosphere. This is the psych hospital I would least recommend in the Kansas City Metro area. I was repeatedly told in the main hospital by psychiatrists and residents how "nice," it was, that I would be able to wear my own clothes, (this wasn't my first rodeo, all my clothes didn't have strings, and I brought sandals.) That I could have my fitbit and kindle, and my own books. I was told it was voluntary, and I could leave any time. Balls! That's a contradiction in terms. Absolutely terrible. Zero help given to patients. Other facilities refer to this place as a "stabilisation only" facility but, they don't even do that. House individuals for a week, then kick them out, ready or not. Go elsewhere. Literally anywhere else.
Professional with friendly staff. Great group therapy daily.
