Im currently on the 9th floor and my wife is in the ICU and she can't take care of herself at the moment whatsoever because of the situation that is going on currently and the machine that notifies the nurses or anyone that she needs suction went off about 5-6 times before I myself had to go out there and say something about and that's when someone that works on this floor hurried up and went and did it,it's horrible I could've been asleep right now at 2am but something told me to stay up I realized at that moment that I mys... read more

I need help. My husband had a serious surgery on May 28th. He was in the SICU for 17 days. Is on thoracic floor now. I can't believe the lack of care on the floor. My husband is very very sick and trached so he can't talk. The nurses station answers him via speaker though I've told 2 residents and the nurses he can't speak. His oxygen has been below 89 for a couple of hours and they tell me it's fine. I know it's not fine. He can't get up by himself and now I'm having to get him up and to his commode myself which I'm NOT qua... read more

Post-Op hospital nursing staff is a horrible embarrassment. ZERO CARE. The physicians and their teams are the BEST. They are trying to make up for the terrible nursing staff. No doubt it is why the docs says we strongly encourage you have somebody stay the night with you.“ Well, we all know why now. No family in attendance means no care. Too many BAD issues below the necessary standard of care to detail here.

UChicago was the worst experience I've had with medical professionals. After 1.5 years of testing, specialists, medical debt, etc. their final answer was they just don't know. On top of that, the medical staff was decidedly uncaring. I was treated as subhuman and not worth their time on a regular basis by multiple doctors. Dr. Sosenko was the worst. She treated me with not just lack of care but with cruelty.
