Hugely disappointing business lunch. Members only, 3 interviews required, etc etc. Working from the bar, a meeting with a colleague and our computers are in front of us. No phones allowed, no calls, totally understandable. Yet 3 different sets of bartenders have never said a word about laptops. Until today. Some girl comes over and says “no computers” and when I ask why her moronic answer was “this is a business club.” Uh... I’m in softtware and we’re conducting business. Great staff in a first rate facility that manages to feel old world while simultaneously accommodating a new generation. They manage the balance.
