This travel agency has left a bad taste in my mouth in part because of inaccurate information pertaining to airport transfer costs on a trip to Egypt and Jordan. I was told that there will be a total of 4 charges ($80, $35, $115 and $65) for both countries and was about to charge my credit card accordingly but I felt that it was too much money, so I requested just one airport pickup for $115. I would strongly caution against using Jennifer Despins (Winnipeg, Manitoba) of The Travel Agent Next Door, who also operates under DM Travel Group, for large or important bookings such as a wedding group. This was a wedding group of approximately 30 people, and Jennifer was clearly in over her head while juggling this alongside another full-time job. Our trip to the Dominican Republic was beautiful overall, but the support from the agency was disappointing. Transfer At the airport we were told to look for Nexus Tours, but they had no booking under my name. Their representative claimed that our actual transfer company had already left two hours earlier and tried to sell us their service instead. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY Joni Davis was possibly the worst most useless agent I’ve ever dealt with. Wanted to make my 40th bday special and easy for everyone to book. It was nothing but bad attitude, problems, empty promises. Pretty much did everything myself so what was the point of going through an agent. Save yourself the trouble.
Avoid at all costs. Booked a multi-country trip months ago, including Morocco. My agent repeatedly assured me no visa was required to Morocco, right up to the night before departure. At the airport I was denied boarding because I did indeed need one. When I called her, she had a very nonchalant attitude. We had to cancel our flight and ended up taking an uber back home to regroup.
