I had lunch there yesterday and ate at the bar. I had a half dozen Oysters on the half shell and they we're amoug the best I've had in this area. The shrimp and grits were good as was the collard greens. Charity was my server and she was friendly and just awesome.
Friday night was our first visit, the prime rib and shrimp were soooo good we came back the next night (Saturday)! Great service and wonderful food. What impressed us the most...all the locals sharing they have never had anything bad! Keep it up, we'll be back!!
Excellent and off the beaten path! Get away from the tourist traps and get a taste for perfectly prepared local seafood. As a former chef I usually have something to critic but this place is top notch! Going back again just two days later.
One of our favorite places to eat,service was great food was some of the best we have had at Gulf Shores will recommend highly to our Guest at Our Condo Mermaid Cove at Sea Oats West Beach.
We went for lunch on a Saturday and sat inside due to the possibility of yellow fly bites. There was only one other table occupied when we sat down and the outside area was probably 60% full. Our waiter came to our table within just a few minutes and took our drink orders and brought them fairly quickly. We had lunch there today. The oysters took forever to come out. My fries were cold. My burger didn't have cheese like I ordered it. Everything I ate had crunchy stuff in it. Oyster shells and the egg shells on my burger. There were flies all over the patio which made it uncomfortable. $6 for a mimosa? It's cook's champagne for Pete's sake...
This is a place that's a little off the beaten path, but well worth it and I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered. It has a variety menu and daily specials.
This was our first visit but definitely not our last. Food was the best we have had in this area. Service was excellent and we loved the atmosphere. It is a busy restaurant so go with some patience.
