You REALLY don't want to know what an awful experience we had at this restaurant last Sunday evening!
The night that we were there must have been a problem night. Nearly every table had complaints. Another large group was seated before us, even though we were there first. Our group had to eat at separate tables. It took nearly two hours for us to get our food and some was brought to the table cold. Many of the items were just not good. Our waiter tried and was apologetic to no avail. The prices were quite unreasonable. I will never go back.
10 of us waited over an hour for a high priced meal. My 16 oz rib eye was a little more than medium rare, but the outside was burned and crusty. It tasted as if it had been soaked a week in salt and coated in sea salt after being cooked. Never got my second side. Have eaten there over the years, and my last two visits have me heart burn with the food and poor service. Best (10 Top)oysters I’ve ever had!!!Worth the trip just for them!
We were told the wait would be 30 minutes, we waited for over an hour. Upon seating, we ordered two appetizers-\-\royal reds and tuna dip. 20-30 minutes later, when the shrimp was brought out, the waiter informed us they were out of tuna dip. Really irritating that we weren't told this when we ordered it or soon after. Flash forward to finally getting our food-\-\the "glazed" salmon was dry and had oodles of sauce dumped over it, and the fried okra was absolutely terrible. Soggy and clearly pre-breaded and frozen. We had to go twice. The tin top fried green tomatoes, sautéed crab claws and shrimp and grits are the best I ever had!! And the margarita and Bloodymary’s were excellent too! We will be back
Great atmosphere with superb food. We will be back every time we are in town.
