Historic. Awesome bathing, sauna, hot towel treatment. Facilities are seemingly original with some expected aging that added to the experience. The massage from Tillman was the best part. Jimmy the bathhouse attendant was really great. Al Capones suite was right around the hall and we caught a glimpse from the friendly staff who were changing the room coincidentally. Highly recommend-like a trip back in time; so relaxing and therapeutic!
We have been coming for years and something about this place just works. The staff is always friendly but the place keeps getting more run down, maybe it’s age showing is part of the charm.
My experience was pleasantly surprising! Barbara was an amazing bath attendant & very attentive to the vibes I wanted for my bath. The aesthetics here are very much old school(dated), however the facilities were clean. The bath itself was something like I have never experienced. The water was so soft, airy, & refreshing. My skin was super hydrated afterwards. The sauna was nice and toasty! I loved being able to lay down afterwards. She then wrapped me in the warm towels and covered me. I probably won't visit this place again . I had a spa day there and I couldn't enjoy my massage because it was noisy, women were talking loudly no consideration for people trying to relax no one asked them to quiet down even after I made my massage therapist aware. The massage was less than mediocre and this place needs a major update. The bathhouse felt grungy, old and outdated. Please update and upgrade this historic location.
