RecommendedThere is everything you need for independent retirement living at the Terraces. 2 meals a day, weekly housekeeping, a great bus driver to take us to medical appointments, shopping, restaurants, scenic rides and even serves coffee & donuts and social hour with drinks and snacks. Christina puts on lots of parties with decorations & entertainment. To keep us healthy there are lots of exercise and physical activity
I've taught exercise classes at the Terraces for nearly 30 years and have seen the transition of owners, staff and residents over time. There are 3 levels of residences and I work at the Lodge, so I can only speak for that facility. I am very impressed with the quality of living they offer. Great staff - friendly, attentive, and caring. Wide variery of activities throughout the week - always some event to look forward to. Excellent food - Good variety and healthy choices are available daily. My mother was totally neglected in assisted living. Had an abscess on her bottom & this went unnoticed by staff when they “assisted” her with her showers. I found this abscess myself when my mother complained of discomfort. She ended up in the hospital x one week, then transferred to a rehab facility x 3weeks. Made the decision to move her to a different assisted living facility. TOTAL LACK OF CARE..
The people who live at the Terraces are very nice but the the Inn is much more to them self and help is not good and the food is so bad they hardly go to eat
Not sure why they let residents drive their bus because one just almost hit me driving their Terraces bus on East Ave pulling out of Safeway. I'm sick of the poor driving in Chico, and it's pathetic people do it in COMPANY VEHICLES.

I cannot remember his name because my brain is/was just so scrambled but one of the bus drivers saved my brother, best friend, myself, and the two dogs we had with us along with as many other people as he could fit on the bus from the Camp Fire. We were hiding in a metal building when he came by and graciously let us on and took us not just to safety, but to destinations other than his to get us to comfortable evacuation zones.
