I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Terrace Room and was so impressed by this venue. The Art Deco architecture and panoramic lake views create such a stunning backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions, truly timeless and elegant. From a photography standpoint, the natural light pouring in through the large windows is a dream, and the space transitions beautifully from day to evening. The Terrace Room was the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception—elegant, warm, and filled with character. The views were stunning, the art deco vibes and decor were gorgeous and unique, and the staff made everything seamless. The staff was great to work with ahead of the event, accommodating various special requests we had, and everything went smoothly on the big day. The service was impeccable, and they made us feel like absolute VIPs all evening long. Our guests are still raving about the gorgeous setting!
No effort to go above or beyond. Amazing disappointment. One would think a place that has been in Oakland for almost 100 years would be a little more hospitable to the paying Guest. I stand at 6’-2” and over 350lbs. You can’t miss me if you tried, because one of us is going to have to move so you can get by. All the images of the place are accurate to a tee. We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at the Terrace Room! Candi and Byron were so supportive and easy to work with from the moment we toured the venue to the moment we left for our after party. They’re both so accommodating, flexible, understanding, and really wonderful about sending reminders about all the important logistics.
