I would give it 5 stars until my son and daughter in law had their wedding here last weekend. Peggy seemed like a truly great person until I sat there and saw for myself how she got upset about a moved plant. Started unprofessionally addressing the kids and then the father. I was invited to wedding last night which was going well until the owner Peggy i guess seemed to be having too much of a good time and started drinking. A incident happened outside with some children and she started yelling at the children (which should have been addressed to a parent) when a parent who was outside heard and came to see why she was yelling at other children while someone was outside supervising them. 1 star just because this is a nice venue. Everyone please be aware of the owners who are extremely unprofessional. I attended a wedding that I personally witnessed a bride cry because of the owner Peggy's actions. I could not believe what I saw! The owner was drunk and out of place!! At one point during setting up decorations the owner made a comment that the venue was usually used for western wedding. (And? Was that suppose to be a racist remark? I have been helping plan the wedding of a lovely couple, so my children knew Mrs Peggy and felt comfortable around her. But last night was the WORST experience for the bride, groom, their families, and most importantly the CHILDREN who were there last night. My little boy who is seven was almost ATTACKED by Peggy for trying to go outside and take pictures wt the wedding party bc he was apart of it. I am a photographer and own Amy Bickel Photography. I have worked with Peggy on several events. She is WONDERFUL, she is so bubbly and energetic. She is the most wonderful hostess to her beautiful venue. Peggy is a true gem! Being on the backside of events I am in the know of the stages happening during an event/wedding and I have my eyes on bride/groom and Peggy.
