I've been visiting The Talbot Centre since I was an early teenager and am now 20 - for the most part the psychologists I have had have been brilliant. The only thing that prevented me from getting more out of the sessions as a young teenager was how hesitant I was to speak and share anything personal. A few of the psychologists kept having babies leaving me without a immediate replacement. But The Talbot Centre has a range of psychologists and they match you up with someone they think will be suitable for you. Only once ende... read more

I spent a long time trying to find a psychologist who is aware and understanding of my needs as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent person and I had an excellent experience with my psychologist at the Talbot Centre. He was brilliant in supporting me and truly seemed to understand my experience. The clinic was some distance from my home, and the team was very flexible in allowing me to have telehealth or in-person meetings depending on my schedule and needs at the time. The admin and payment systems had some issues where I've no... read more

I had the pleasure of meeting the entire team of The Talbot Centre recently and every single staff member is just lovely. It is a real testament to the culture of the organisation. Their facilities are also fantastic. So welcoming, calm, new and fresh, even with a kitchen where they can educate their clients and have some fun with them, while doing their therapy. I can highly recommend the staff from The Talbot Centre.

I sought the advice of Dr Amy Talbot when my 8 month old refused solids. Dr Talbot asked me a few questions to get an idea of what might be going on, and then gave me a range of new strategies to try to encourage my daughter to eat, things I never would have thought of. I was able to implement them straight away and since this conversation my daughter has started to enjoy solid foods and meal times are a much happier experience for my whole family. Can't recommend her highly enough.

From the time I was told that my psychologist was leaving the centre, it took three months for the client care team to come up with a suitable replacement for me. It was very stressful not knowing who the replacement would be until only a few weeks before where I had to make my choice. There should be better protocols in place to make this experience less stressful for already vulnerable people. There was also another time where I was told of the wrong appointment time when booking on the phone. Luckily it was virtual so I... read more
