Established in 2013. The Swope Mansion was purchased in 2012 by John and Lori Jumba with the idea of turning this elegant 1836 home into a bed and breakfast. The 8700 square foot mansion was completely renovated adding all the common amenities of today. The Swope Manor opened for business in the spring 2013. This is an excellent experience. We have stayed for 5 years now, and have no desire to stay anywhere else. The building is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Swope Manor. The B&B has the best location, amazing breakfasts and paid parking around the corner at $54 for 3 days. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in Jacob’s room
We had a wonderful stay at the Swope Manor. It was our first time in the area and our first B&B! The service at the Swope was fantastic! We really enjoyed breakfast - both the food and the conversations with other guests. Will definitely recommend and it will be our first choice the next time we visit Gettysburg. Thanks for a fantastic stay!
Inn was very historic and the host gave us a tour on arrival. The room was spacious and well appointed. The location was convenient to activities. The yard area was well kept. Everyone was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again in the future!
