The rugged charm of Swag Country Inn is reflected in its eponymous restaurant too. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, this restaurant features a locally-sourced fare of scrumptious entrees and desserts. Some of the favorites of the sample menu are Roasted Rack of Lamb with Spinach and Pan Seared Striped Bass. This restaurant is equally good for an intimate dinner with a special person, or for a relaxed outing with a group of friends.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Swag several years ago. We enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the Swag. the food was delicious and enjoyed all the amenities.
We needed a respite from the world and found it at The Swag. A great week of hiking, reading, learning all about bears (thank you Mike and Tamra), terrific meals and wonderful conversations with fellow guests and staff. We are home in Florida and hoping the storm avoids us and fellow SC friends we met. We will return! Many thanks to all.
Highly recommend staying here!
It just doesn’t get better....brunch today, overnight last month and again this October...
The View is amazing!! And it has all of these rustic buildings up their that make this place like you stepped back in time! The food was absolutely delicious. And the staff was extremely friendly. Will we there we saw a Mama Bear getting apples to take to her Cubs! I would recommend this place to everyone!
If you love hiking there are several trails to go and check things out
This place is a hidden jewel 💎 in the mountains ⛰ of western North Carolina. Very reminiscent of exclusive resorts in Northern California. One in particular is the Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite. The views are spectacular and the rustic setting is authentic. Very friendly staff, even though we didn’t have reservations. It’s good that they keep it a little hidden and exclusive. Make sure you call first, because it’s several miles up the mountain by car ⛰ before you get there.
The Swag is a best kept secret in western NC. Remote & beautiful, peaceful & gorgeous! Amazing accommodations & staff. A must-see
The Swag has a 4.8 star rating with 500 reviews.
