There is a reason people wait. It's good. Cozy seating.
maitre de – The owner's new wife is the greeter/seater. She is rude and inconsiderate. The staff are already complaining about her attitude and poor interpersonal/customer skills. The business won't close because of her, but the Stove will lose some customers and some staff will quit because of her. The food is good, but this one woman makes the experience not worth it. I'm a local Mammoth resident who used to go here two to four times a week. As long as she's there we'll go somewhere else - she's that bad.
Stove Restaurant is great food The Stove is such a great place for breakfast! They serve all comfort food, and it's so fresh - made just like you remember. Their prices are very affordable - there is always a line on the weekends so go early!
I have been going here for breakfast whenever we visit Mammoth for many years and I am never disappointed. Good service, small town coffee shop feel and great food. Prices are a little high but that's a resort town for you. I have never had dinner here so I cannot comment. Try breakfast!
Find a different place to eat. – Had dinner at the stove 1/18/2009. Our party of 5 was constantly interrupted by the food service staff. Our waitress was abrasive and rude. The food varied. The Prime Rib was over cooked and chewy. The burgers were way over cooked. The corn bread was stale. Used to be much better. Bad restraints now
Best Breakfast The Stove has the best breakfast in Mammoth Lakes. It's a small quaint place that serves home town cooking. What a great place to go - It's like sitting in Grandma's kitchen. I would highly recommend stopping in here.
Home Cooking – I'm only up in Mammoth during the winter for the snow, but this is quickly becoming a favorite for breakfast. There is quite a wait on some days, but it's worth it. It's a nice way to start the day with some home style breakfast and small-town service. Then it's off to the slopes!
The Stove has a 4.6 star rating with 1,240 reviews.
The Stove is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
