Hospitality at its best!!! The room was spacious, slept like I was on a cloud! The location is perfect to enjoy all the town has to offer. Thank you Zahkar for making us welcomed and having a warm infectious smile!
We had originally booked a family room, but upon arrival asked for a second room. Our kids ended up sharing our family room and me and the wife got a kingsize room. Both room were fantastic. Clean and comfortable beds. Big rooms with high sealing (our kingsize room was the smallest of the two but significantly larger than any family room we have shared on our trip upstate. I don't have enough nice things to say about the Stockade Inn! I booked the whole hotel for my wedding party, and the staff was so delightful, helpful, kind, and accommodating. They set up a gorgeous room in the lobby for myself and all of the bridesmaids to get ready in, let us use their fridge to store all of our food, snacks, and leftovers for the weekend, and made the hotel feel like home! This hotel has potential with beautiful bones but has clearly seen better days (but maybe on the up and up?!). Beds were comfy and we had a nice corner bedroom with a view of the beautiful church. Good communication. Would still stay here any day over a chain hotel!
We can’t speak highly enough about our stay at the Stockade Inn. Its historical renovation is well underway yet the rooms and public spaces are comfortable, well appointed and spacious. The ambience of the entire Inn, including the coffee shop and the yoga studio, is totally zen. And if you are a history buff there is no better place to stay while visiting Schenectady than the Stockade.
