A beautiful stay in one of the oldest areas on the East Coast. The only negative was the inability to control the heart in our room. It was very cold outside, but still it seemed far too hot in the room to sleep. Otherwise I couldn't recommend a lodging in the Schenectady area higher. Such comfortable beds. And after a long night of celebrating they were kind though to let us stay in to the early afternoon instead of kicking us out to turnover the room.
⸻ Our stay at Stockade Inn was nothing short of magical. We spent two nights here for a weekend trip, and it turned into one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives—my fiancé proposed during our stay. What made it even more special was how genuinely celebrated we felt afterward. The owner, John Samutulski, personally congratulated us, which meant more than I can put into words. Stayed for the weekend and had a great experience. Zahar was excellent as well as the concierge. The building itself and the location is beautiful. The cafe that’s inside was also delicious. Would definitely recommend staying at the Stockade Inn!
I have always loved this historic building and finally had the chance to stay when the in house Yoga and Wellness studio, Inner Bliss had a three day retreat. My room was beautiful, bright, and comfortable. It was warm despite it being 3 degrees outside. It felt like a boutique hotel in NYC. I was able to soak in a huge tub and look out at the adjacent historic stone church. The staff were amazing. Shout out to Deb who was on top of everything right down to extra chocolate on my pillow.
