This is my first apartment in Charleston and I need pretty rapid access to the peninsula/downtown for work so I appreciate that there are two major routes from James Island for that. Location is great, and the parking ramp is very safe and secure for my coming and going at night and the early morning for work, close to grocery (Harris Teeter and there is a Publix and Aldi down Folly) and several restaurants. This place was not my top pick when apartment hunting on James Island but due to availability I had to take what I could get, and I should have stuck with my gut. The management here is awful and they have now created a parking problem when there was not a problem to begin with. They also allow residents to park in the guest spots outside which takes up availability for guests to park in. We have had multiple issues with our dryer while living here and after 5-6 calls about it not working and about 2 months of wet clothes, w... read more
First apartment in Charleston and overall it’s been a great experience! I’d recommend The Standard to anyone considering.
I moved here in May and I love it! Great community events, everyone is very friendly, maintenance requests get handled very quickly, and i haven’t had any issues!
