Nice and relaxing This inn is located right next door to the famous Country Squire Restaurant. It originally was a bed and breakfast, but over the years it became just an "inn" and they built and established a separate building for a full service restaurant. The courtyard in the Squire Vintage Inn has held many special occasions, i.e. weddings, receptions, anniversary parties, etc. The inn is a quaint looking place - simple yet elegant. We go here at least once a year "just because" even though it's located only 40 minutes f... read more
TS from Virginia Beach, April 2010 We stayed at the Squire's Vintage Inn April 17, 2010. We did the Duplin Winery tour first so we got in late. My group had two rooms with only one other room rented. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The vintage decor was interesting. Breakfast was delivered to our rooms, coffee, juice and danish. We took pictures as the azelas were in full bloom. We plan to return and experience the Country Squire Restaurant and winery. Off the beaten path and eccentric. Definitely would return.
Quiet and relaxing stay An excellent place to visit. A very rustic looking place, yet elegant and a VERY relaxing place to spend a weekend for a getaway from everyday life. Very quiet area, and a peaceful courtyard with walkways, benches and a gazebo to sit and relax. My wife and I spent our 5th wedding anniversary here this past weekend and can't waint until next year. We only live 45 miles away, but enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. The staff of both the restaurant and inn are extremely friendly and helpful. The first ni... read more
Great room! Great price! I stay in motels and hotels all over and only wish I had a place like this to stay in everywhere! Outside wanting to get home I hated to leave! The Inn just like the restaurant has a great old world charm and character! The room was clean with a nice view and the price was great! Its a shame that places like this go over looked and passed by because so many people are looking for the popular chain named hotels!
