One of the best Bloody Marys I've ever had... and it comes with a sidecar of one of their delicious beers on tap. Yum! The bartender and servers are also super friendly! 'The Spot' is cozy and welcoming; definitely a dining gem in Madison! Great place!
Why am I just now finding out about this cozy little spot?! My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner tonight. The Friday walleye was a fantastic dish. The fish was flavorful, slightly crispy and wonderful with their tartar sauce. The slaw was perfect- not drenched in cream sauce like some places. Went for a fish fry. The fish was nothing more than the frozen stuff you find in the grocery store. My wife had the clam chowder, which was served luke warm at best and had her spoon dropped on the table in front of her when she was served. Anyone who has given this place a good review, clearly has no sense of quality or taste.
Good happy hour specials and cozy indoor seating. Great spot for cold weather. Patio is also good in the warmer months.
