I would have given them a glowing 5 star review Had I not been treated so poorly by billing manager. I started orthodontist care with them in 2023 and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Brinkerhoff and is assistants. The front desk representatives are friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating with scheduling. I had a horrible experience at the Smithtown Smilist Dental and would not recommend them to anyone. My 89 year old mother had an appointment last Friday December 2nd at 1:30 pm as we were getting ready to leave for the appointment they called to cancel 45 minutes before the appointment saying the teeth where not delivered. The office manager Gina was out for the rest of Friday and would not call me back. They did a bait and switch on me. They said the surgeon takes my plan. I called and asked are you sure he takes my plan and they said yes but when I was examined they say you need this and that but he doesn't take your plan but we can work something out. When I complained they said oh we will talk to the girl you spoke to. BS.

My name is Zack Routsis, on February 2019 I went to see Dr. Salem to talk with him about my teeth which was a problem in my entire life. Dr. Salem did a major overhaul in my mouth with his knowledge, his patience, and his integrity, installed 21 crowns and two bridges with success, This has made me feel like new person. I comfortably recommend Dr. Salem and his entire office. Hey and something else Dr. Salem is very conscientious

I'm writing about the Middle Island location of the Smilist. Although the staff members were pretty nice, I won't go back. The dentist I saw had such a heavy foreign accent, I had to have the technician translate for me. On each visit (there were 3), the rooms were unpresentable & in need of repair On the 1st & 2nd visits, the drain where the water flows next to the dental chair was broken & discolored. Worst service ever!! Beware!! they send you bills after a year!! Last year I went for a consultation because I needed a Root Canal. They did xrays and they billed to my insurance and told me everything was cover. I did not do the root canal with them because they didnt have availability and I did not have a good feeling either because I was in so much pain and the dentist Jackie, prescribed me Ibuprofen at 8.30 am but she forgot to send the prescription to the pharmacy so I had to wait until 12.30 to pick up the pills (Imagi... read more
