Wow! I signed up for the 90 minute Deep Tissue +Myofascial Release therapy. Janae was incredibly effective in relieving the tightness and pain in my left leg, hip , knee and foot. Her skills are quite unique but damn they worked. Her skills are unmatched in the Portland area. Janae will apply as much pressure as needed but will of course listen to your feedback. It is medical based therapy. Myfascial release requires deep pressure to break up the junk causing all the pain. Janae just doesn't use her hands. Her use of her elb... read more

I am a body worker myself, in The Strozzi methodology. I was seeking a unique practitioner, who did deep work and understood body armoring, myofascial release, and what it takes to change one’s shape and conditioned tendencies. In just three sessions, Janae has helped me release decades of armoring in my arms, creating lasting change. She’s the real deal.

I had an absolutely incredible deep tissue massage at The Slow Remedy! Janae was incredibly strong and worked with such skill and precision, providing one of the deepest, most effective massages I’ve ever had. It was clear that they put in a lot of effort to release tension and target problem areas, and I could feel a huge difference right away. If you’re looking for a place that truly understands deep tissue work and delivers real results, I highly recommend The Slow Remedy. Amazing experience, thank you!

Best massage I’ve had in Portland the 15 years I’ve lived here. If you’re looking for an LMT that will absolutely fix you, Janae is the woman. Don’t expect the same light work/light rub down with lavender oil you get with most other LMT’s. She’s all about fixing people. Be prepared for ACTUAL deep tissue massage along with the intensity and healing that comes with it. Don’t show up expecting the same experience you’ve had with previous LMT’s. I’m so happy I found her!

You can tell when a massage therapist is massaging you the way they would want to be massaged because they know what it’s like to have chronic pain and knots. The only massage I’ve ever had that actually provided relief.
