It's a great nature reserve. Has parking lot and barn to set tables up in. Not sure how you book it 190 people participated in a Hike for Hospice June 8th. The trail was beautiful for walk. Very accessible for bikes. Strollers and walkers.
We could have gone to any one of the city trails, but I really had hopes of seeing some open water, to test a kayak, so RARE on the Grand it was. A great walk, but no open easy water to test on, nor eagles. Although we saw some big nests and opportunities for future walks or bike rides.
Great hiking area. Saw 3 deer, a couple cool lookout's over the river and stone steps
Oh my goodness! I loved this hike! To me, this was a hike. I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to long walks... well, this was a 4 hour hike. (8 km total for me) On all sorts of different terrain. There are spots you can choose easier routes to take... I took the harder paths. There is also a gravel road that you can grab a few times if you want to get out of the woods.
