I’ve really enjoyed living at The Slater! One of my favorite things about the community is how close it is to the Greenway. I love taking walks in the morning, and there’s something so nice about being greeted by deer along the Greenway early in the day. This place is a scam and only out to get money. I would not recommend living here. I was charged $185 for a glass stovetop, when I know it wasn’t replaced nor did it cost them $185 to clean. I have pictures attached with the top photo being how I left it and the bottom photo of it cleaned by them. You be the judge. If they wanted to keep the deposit they could have just said that and not made up some fake charges.
Would not recommend! I’ve been a tenant over a year. The whole year I’ve complained and complained about the lady above me. Her kids run around every single day all day/night past 2:30 am. I can’t sleep or take 1 nap without jumping out of my sleep because of said tenant! We’ve produced recordings, called to complain, emailed and it’s been horrible the whole year! NOTHING DONE!! We loved living in this community and are sad to leave! My personal favorite aspects were the open-floor concept, the location and proximity to RDU, the friendly staff, the clean lobby, and how safe it felt. Every neighbor I met was also so kind and the maintenance workers were extremely helpful (even though we rarely needed them to stop by). I will also miss the yummy food trucks and the convenience of valet trash. Highly, highly recommend! :)
Would not recommend. This complex is not child-friendly. The apartments are cheaply built, so you can hear everything through the walls. Parking is terrible — if you live toward the back, you often have to park in the front and walk a long distance. There are no screens for the windows or balcony, which causes you not to be able to open your windows when it is cooler and to use your air conditioner instead. My car was towed after I parked briefly in a handicap spot just to run my child inside so I wouldn’t have to carry them... read more
