RecommendedExcellent food. Mix of fusion and traditional Vietnamese. Wine pairings are spot on. Views of the Bay Bridge are phenomenal.
It was ok
The food was amazing. Aussie bartender was the event. He made drink and food recommendations that were amazing (and had the stories). The food was awesome and the drinks were perfectly made. Be prepared with reservations or for a very long wait...but worth it.

I had a wonderful meal at The Slanted Door. The family style option made it possible to taste several appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I enjoyed everything! our server was also excellent. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night without a reservation. I think arriving early helped.
This place seems like it’s best days are behind it. Our food was sent back multiple times, which we never do unless it’s really bad, and in the end the food we actually ate was just mediocre. The staff was very nice about it though.
The food was fantastic!!...the service was impeccable! Our seats didn’t have a view, & as tourists visiting such a beautiful city...we wanted that...the icing on the cake! My only complaint was the cost! Asian-fusion is very inexpensive to make...sauces & small amounts of protein. 25-30% over priced
Okay, The Slanted Door Vietnamese Restaurant has, location, location, location... The restaurant is at one end of the amazing Ferry Building by the Embacadero. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat you get spectacular views of the Bay Bridge, which is even better at night when its all lit up.
