This is the PERFECT place for an intimate wedding. I've always loved Toronto Island and was thrilled that I could have my wedding here. The house is well maintained with a very beautiful garden, and there's a walkway behind that's perfect for pictures. Laurie was super friendly, accommodating, and a great help for making my day beautiful.
My husband and I got married here in May 2026, and it could not have been a better day! Everything was beautiful and Laurie, Lynn, and the team at the Shaw House were all so easy to work with. So, so happy we chose to do our ceremony here!
We used the facility for a staff retreat. Laurie and Lynn were wonderful and incredibly helpful. It's a beautiful, clean venue right by the water with lots of space especially outdoors. Highly recommend not just because it's a great venue but the venue is supported by great people!
The Shaw House is a lovely venue for intimate weddings on the Toronto Islands. As an event planner, I love how it feels like a backyard wedding at your family home, with a fully stocked kitchen. It is both stunning and economical!
We had our intimate wedding dinner in the lovely gardens of the Shaw House this summer. It's a hidden gem and a beautiful venue. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to be on Ward's island with a great view of the lake (it's a walking distance from the beach and has a boardwalk next to it that's perfect for photos).
