While The Shade Store’s products are good, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The people at the Palo Alto store set up appointments for measurements twice and failed to show up. After 3 months of waiting, they cancelled the installation appointment (confused it with a measurement appointment!). I had made plans to move in based on shade installation. The blinds came as ordered. Israel Rangel(possible a misspelling) was prompt and did an excellent job. He finished quickly, demonstrated how the blinds worked and left the space very neat and clean.
Great products, terrible service. We hired them twice to install total black out drapes. While the fabrics and final results are very satisfying, the installation was a pain each time. It feels like we should apologize to the installer for wasting their time. In addition, the communication between the main office (order taker) and installer is definitely broken. Twice the installer were missing some key components (eg. electric drapes vs. manual ones), which leads to the frustration listed above. Sadly, this reputable brand ... read more
Customer service is non existent. I came in during the afternoon on Monday. I was the only one in the store. The lady at the front desk completely ignored me. I said hello to her multiple times. She completely ignored me. Don’t bother coming. It’s just a waste of time.
literally (literally) the worst home investment you can make. It's been over 13 months and we still have issues. Each time that we ask for help, they send a calendar invite for at least 3 weeks out of dates. then send someone. then another person. 12 shades, maybe 7 were good upfront, a few continue to be real stinkers. one literally doesn't fit the window. a technician came and said "yeah, this is good" ... so back in the swirl of terrible experience as I wait, again.
