We ate at The Sea Shack last night and loved the food! AND several times today I've fondly recalled that blueberry key lime pie!!!
The shark attack was incredible!!! too much food, but so good we had to keep eating not to waste it!
Been coming here for years. Paper plates, no frills, no fancy pants allowed, it's just great dive seafood!
Well worth the wait! Amazing food! We all ordered something different and tried each one out of 6 meals we all loved everything! Sweet tea is perfect especially after waiting for so long. Even our 3 year old couldn't get enough!!

RecommendedOn the last night we were in Hilton Head, we decided to take a chance on the Sea Shack. We went on a Friday night and our wait was about 45 minutes, but it was raining so that could have kept a lot of people away. I ordered the fried shrimp, field peas and rice, and cabbage. First time visited: got advise to go at 2:30 and it was spot on. They close from 3-5pm and it's a great way to avoid the wait. I got the crab cakes which were good, I am not a seafood loved. But my husband is a lover of seafood and said it was some of the best he has had. I read some reviews that said the employees weren't the nicest but the service is not why you are going to this place. It's all about the seafood. The food is the best!! I know the staff may seem a little rude but honestly I believe it's part of the charm of the restaurant. Remember they are not stupid people, they have been in business for a long time and the food speaks for itself, so if your to sensitive to take a little rudeness this is not the place for you but you'll be missing out on one of the best places to eat on the island!
