Absolutely amazing service & food ! We had a party of over 20, and Joanna (our server) was EXCELLENT AND WORKED WITH QUICKNESS ! Food was great!

We just moved here from Atlanta and we were looking for a really good seafood restaurant for our first date night! The oysters were fantastic, the tea is real tea, the Captains platter and salmon were delicious and the chocolate cake was so worth it! We cleaned our plates! Joanna was our server and she’s hilarious and knowledgeable about the menu! We will definitely be back here and will be requesting Joanna as our server!!
Monday evening had a family of 8 gathering w/O reservations. Was seated in 30 minutes due to the restruant being packed, which was unusual for a Monday! We had an amazing server by the name of Amanda! She was fast, friendly and extremely tentative to a 2 y/o child. The food was very good ranging from raw oysters, stuffed flounder to fried crabs. I will give the Schooner a 4.5 rating for the evening!
The Deluxe Shrimp & Crab gumbo was as good as any I had in New Orleans. I had the broiled stuffed bone-in flounder with garlic sauce which was superb. The Schooner has an exclusive on this item in the region. It's "old school" but once you eat it, you'll not want flounder any other way. This is a year-round menu item and has been for some 60 years. They simply do seafood right although friends tell me they cook a mean steak, but I'm still working on the seafood side of the menu. Bon Apetit.
The food was great! I had the Shrimp and crab Gumbo and the Crawfish Bisque.. Morgan my server was fast, all smiles �, and checked on me often. It's a definite stop when I'm back in the area.
The Schooner has always been a family favorite. Great food and service.
