i lived at newport bay for 2 years and loved it. very clean and beautiful apartment complex with a pretty pool. there is now a starbucks walking distance. i loved Roberta, the property manager. she lived onsite and truly was so helpful and empathetic to our needs. i loved the maintenance guy too, he was ultra respectful. felt safe too because it was gated! nice and close parking spots. laundry facilities was very clean. the ONE con is that the airplanes from John Wayne airport were pretty loud, but my roommate and i didn't r... read more
Safe place to live with very responsive management/maintenance.
This apartment certainly has flaws, but I think it's a good bang for your buck. Cons: You hear airplanes overhead all day from John Wayne Airport. They only run 7am-10pm so you can sleep just fine, though. The building is old, so there's no AC and you use a gas heater in the wall. Depends on your unit's window directions on whether the heat becomes an issue for you, though. Pool has no hot tub. Pros: Cheap for the area and for what you get. Cute courtyard/landscaping.
