I want to give a huge thank you to Mrs. Jorie Gilroy, the leasing consultant at my apartment complex. I went into the office to ask about my dryer, and she immediately offered to have it replaced with a bigger one. I also mentioned that my kitchen sink had low water pressure and that my toilet was having water issues. Before I even left the office, she had already created three maintenance tickets and personally asked a maintenance technician to fix my toilet the same day. I’m sharing this because I feel overwhelmed, ignored, and extremely disappointed by how this rental situation has been handled. I recently moved into a townhome at Sanctuary / Tallyn’s Reach expecting a safe, clean, and livable home for my children, my pets, and me. Instead, after moving in, I discovered hidden black mold. This was not something I caused, and it was not something I could have known about before moving in.
