Clean, beautiful, great service – this hotel is fantastic. clean, elegant, quiet, great service, nice breakfast. it's so nice to have such a place to come back to after a busy, noisy day in nyc. 6 stars!
Good location! – The San Carlos is a great location to both Times square and Fifth avenue shopping. Close to a subway line and Grand Central station. The staff friendly and helpful. The one problem was the continental breakfast. On our first morning there they had bagels, toast, yogurt and pastries as well as juice and coffee/tea. The next 4 mornings we saw only the juice and coffee/tea and yogurt and then little deserts. What happened to the bagels and toast?
