I can not say enough about Dr. Sams and his staff to say how wonderful they are. Our little crazy terrier who blew out her knew chasing a ball on the beach went in and had surgery. It was not an easy decision to do this. We followed as best we could what to do during recovery. And today she went in for her 8 week check-up and X-ray and she is on her way to be get for go! Sams Clinic is the best. Really. I can not say enough about how great my dog was treated.
Sadly, our son's pit bull pup tore both ACLs. But thankfully after bilateral TPLOs he's in great shape, running, jumping, and super happy! We searched many vets before committing to the surgery and rehab and had a great experience with the quality care and compassion of the Sams team, from the front office staff to the techs to the surgical team and rehab specialists. We schlepped from Oakland to Marin twice weekly for months because the care and rehab were so great. Absolutely worth it for a healthy and happy dog.
I brought my Bella to Kimberly Ramirez at The Sams Clinic Veterinary Specialists for seven months of rehab so that she could walk properly after a serious injury in June of 2015 (and a surgery to help repair the injury); I drove her twice a week for month or so and then down to once a week for the remaining months. The best orthopedic team. Period. Skilled, caring and loving every animal like their own.
The staff were awesome! Their ideas were great and they were open with working with us and our ideas. I can truly say that our furkid enjoyed going there.
