I thank God they accepted me in my time of need. No matter what I had to go thru...I needed shelter waiting on the VA. It wasn't perfect but better than being on the street! I've been in my apartment close to two years and Im so happy! I would never say anything bad about Salvation Army...the Bible study and people got me thru!!! Thank you 😊 🙏 💓
When me and my 2 children were staying here they were very rude. They yelled at me for the dumbest things. I left once I got yelled at for taking a shower with my 2 young children bc apparently you need to ask for permission to shower. That same day me and my kids got yelled at for sitting on the wrong bench outside. They made my 4 year old feel uncomfortable and like she was in trouble all the time.
They would yell at me and my kids for no reason at all. Very disrespectful to the point where my kids wanted to leave. Glad, we freely left this place and now are all being treated with respect that we deserve.
I was asked to leave when I was 6 months pregnant all because I didn’t make it in the night before. I called and told night shift I have an underdeveloped bladder and one of the buses I had to take to get there only runs every hour and at the time of the call, the last bus had already left. Since I didn’t have a doctors note, I had to leave the next day. Thank you Salvation Army for all you did that night and the rest of the nights I was being bullied.
My experience here was up and mostly down. The main issue is the disrespect from some staff members. Ms.Nadine was the best and she's very genuine. Ms. Debra in front office was cool to. Ms. Amber is a sweetheart and very caring. Ms. Hannah was helpful and kind. Everyone else especially the two housekeeping ladies, very rude and disrespectful.
