While many of us have been left homeless due to government negligence covid-19 has shed light on just how horrendous the situation is. I have met with several previous residents (who were allowed to participate in the now desecrated transitional housing program) via zoom who have brought law suits up against Salvation Army charities. There seems to be a common denominator in their complaints : that consistently, a person of colour, new immigrant, or disabled individual was p... Continue Reading

If they can throw a man out for eating a cookie without permission, and that same man can end up in prison for that very offense, they are in serious need of reform. It’s appalling they call themselves a charity organization and then treat anyone like that. full stop

Seriously, you press charges against a guy for eating a cookie? You are also willing to let him go to jail for six months because of it? Nice Christian values. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I’ll be giving my donation elsewhere moving forward.

Delicious leftover cookies, but they’ll hit you up for 6 months jail time on the way out. https://filtermag.org/a-san-francisco-man-is-currently-i…/…/

They sent a man to jail for six months because of unauthorized snacking. Don’t go here.
