Love this place. Drinks are fantastic. Try the lavender vodka. The ribs are tender and for a more than fair price.
Chef Matt proves his culinary skills and creativity with every dish. Having frequented the restaurant since they opened, my husband and I have always relied on the staff for recommendations and have never been disappointed.
The owner, Matt needs to learn customer service skills. His waiter made a mistake and charged our card twice. Matt spent 20 minutes explaining how it was our fault. After paying $400 in his restaurant you would think he would have tried to make it right. Nope. Oh and for some strange reason his waiter added the tip onto our check even though we were just a party of six. This is a family favorite and our "go-to" restaurant for special occasions and celebrations! We are always welcomed warmly, the wait staff is competent and attentive, and the food is always varied and delicious. I recommend The Rumor Mill to anyone who wants an enjoyable and memorable dining experience in historic Ellicott City. Five stars plus!
