Hotel canceled room without notice. We arrived late at night only to find their manager had canceled our room without notifying us. We had recieved a confirmed email reservation. Plus weekly ads from the hotel chain. Terrible customer service and absolutely no care about leaving us stranded in Chicago. Do not book here- no way to know if your reservation will be honored.
We had a good experience. Room was elegant and the beds comfortable. Bathroom door, a slider, was very difficult to open and close. Overall, the room was clean. However, near the windows, the baseboard molding, had a thick layer of dust. Indicating the room was not completely cleaned. A plus for us was we could use the stairs. I am not an elevator person. We had a fifth floor room. Staff was very nice.
Stayed over this past weekend in one of the spa suites and was pretty underwhelming. The location is great but overall the room was pretty underwhelming. The room never got cleaned unfortunately. I even asked at the front desk if someone could clean it when we were out and about during one of the nights but it never happened.

Overall, I'd say this is a decent place to stay in Chicago. Somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars. Pros: The staff is kind and helpful, the lobby and entrance are nice and quaint. The fruit infused water is delicious, especially on a hot summer day. The space of the king bed suites are nice and the rooms w/suites attached are pretty spacious.
