The Royal Children's Hospital is a vast institution with hundreds of staff. While many families find world-class surgeons and compassionate nurses there and I am still happy we have this hospital option, in our personal experience our child's real diagnosis fell through all the holes of stacked Swiss cheese slices that aligned or better said: were twisted to align. We saw Dr Ayasha and Professor Dr Michelle, and both were extremely supportive and helpful. Professor Michelle demonstrated exceptional depth of knowledge and professionalism, which gave us great confidence in the care provided. After the consultation, we went to the A6 pathology collection centre to have blood taken, but it had already closed at 5:00 pm.
