Too expensive to go to much but it's a real go to if you can afford it. It's full of cool people and wonderful meals and the atmosphere is safe and fun. Also has outdoor dining, some of that's heated when it's cold.
I visited The Root yesterday around 1:00pm. I stood in line to order for about 7-10 mns, which wasn’t a problem. I ordered the sweet potato miso soup, grilled cheese and strawberry matcha. The atmosphere is very laid back and charming. I really enjoyed the soup and flavors involved. The grilled cheese was just a basic grilled cheese. I didn’t eat the salad that came with it. The matcha was sweet and creamy but I didn’t taste strawberry. I might go back to try the breakfast menu, but wasn’t that impressed with the sandwich.
