My wife and I just moved to the area and many people have told us to eat here. The burgers were dry and cold, fries were cold with no seasoning at all. We were highly disappointed.
I have been her so many times. Every town has a restaurant you recommend 100% of the time, most of them are overrated. Not The Rookery. Don’t look at any appetizers just order the fried green tomato’s. I learned today when you order something with your choice of cheese it includes pimento cheese. If you want you mind blown order the steak sandwich with pimento cheese, also get the house chips to scoop up the pimento cheese that is left on your plate.

Great place to eat, but we were seated near the bar and waited 15 more minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our drink order. Very frustrating.
Terrible service!!! My co-workers and I ordered food and they changed the price once we got there. The manager was not apologetic or even tried to rectify the situation. The food was cold and did not taste good. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone again.
We ordered a big order (at least 26). The prices were different from online when we placed the order. Spoked with the manager, who was rude btw, he placed the blame on us for that. Not only this but when we arrived, they gave us a completely DIFFERENT total than they gave on the phone because they charge for “to go boxes”. The cashier was more rude smh. Food and atmosphere is on point!!! Battered fries are outstanding. The Jimmy Carter Burger was great!
