Fatima from the transplant center financial coordinator team was extremely rude and condescending. She was very confrontational, even saying things like “are you done?” in the middle of the conversation. She also claimed she had spoken with my father and that he understood everything she said, but he only speaks Spanish and she doesn’t. This is very concerning, especially since families dealing with the stress of transplant surgery deserve patience, clarity, and respect. My daughter she spent her 7th birthday at this hospital while being diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure. All I have to say is, God bless every single person at this place. My daughter got her kidney transplant in November 2024. They have been so great with our daughter. Definitely one of the best!
My mom has had 4 donors try donating. As a POC, this is very disheartening. They aren't organized , they don't follow up, and the communication among members has been poor. It is discouraging for the recipient and donor.
