Been a few years, but this was the best place in Memphis to get away for a couple! My wife came home from a deployment, one tear, so I know we needed a honeymoon environment and this was it! They provided the perfect example of that! We'll be back soon, I hope!
Beautiful, clean, well maintained and luxurious with complimentary port wine and chocolates, thick towels, plush carpet, a corner study with books, friendly and attentive staff, and a quaint and luxurious convenience store nearby. Sweeping views of the Mississippi River. We were unlucky to have experienced poor service for the breakfast at Paulette’s (50 min wait and no coffee). In the evening, there are no options to purchase food/snacks of any type after 9 pm.
This hotel is amazing! My gf and I found this and everytime we visit Memphis we make sure to stay here. Where to start....the front desk is super friendly and nice and the room is very nice. The area has a really cool beach feel with the surrounding area and being across the bridge feels much safer. My only real complaint was that housekeeping could have had the windows open for a little bit to let the room get some fresh air.
Attended a retirement party at River Hall for a friend and the food service was awful. Nothing was thoroughly cooked and the salmon toast was meager. I’ve been there in the past for brunch and that was ok. I don’t understand how they dropped the ball so big on this event.
The room was dirty. Lamps didn't work (no ceiling or wall lights). I couldn't plug my phone in to charge by my bed. Insufficient plugs in general. Did I mention dirty?! No concierge service at all. Only one person on staff serving restaurant, bar and hosting (he was a good guy).
