Maja is incredible. Very professional thorough and sincere. I cannot overemphasize her skill If it were feasible I would rate 10 stars
I booked a 50 minute massage and 30 minute facial. My massage was wonderful but my facial wasn't. The esthetician wasn't prepared for my visit and didn't know what service I was getting. She fumbled to read through the notes on her phone which forced us to start a few minutes late. The facial itself was fine but she ended 7 minutes early. That combined with the late start meant my facial was less than 20 minutes long. My service started great but after 10 minutes it felt like waste of time. The facial was average with focus on massage on face rather than extraction, cleaning & other services. For the $ i paid i felt better alternatives are available in Chicago city which will provide exceptional service & experience. Also, the robe provided was old and dirty !
To preface, Maya and Grace were both very kind and genuinely tried to resolve the situation, I want to acknowledge that upfront. That said, I left The Ritz Spa confused, disappointed, and frankly, unimpressed. I will not be returning. I had booked a last-minute nail appointment while in Chicago for an impromptu birthday trip. This review in no way reflects my hotel stay experience. It is specific to my time spent in the spa. I have traveled extensively and have enjoyed pampering at a multitude of spas around the world. In my humbled opinion, even though this spa is scrupulously clean & the staff is very professional, the spa itself falls short regarding quality of services offered for the price, amenities & privacy.
