Service was impeccable from first encounter to departure. We met Dale on arrival and he was welcoming and extraordinarily helpful. The check in experience was friendly and informative. Conference support was top notch. Our room was well apportioned and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I want to recognize Dale especially. He made our departures easy and greeted us and made our return feel like coming home. We are excited to come back to Chicago and will look for our extended Ritz Carlton family.
The room was comfortable, especially the mattress, and we had a really nice view of Lake Michigan. That said, the hotel didn’t quite live up to what we expected for its status, and the dining area felt a bit crowded and cramped. We’d probably try a different hotel next time we’re in the area. This stay was actually a year ago—my phone just reminded me! 😉
Dearest Ritz Carlton, What does a guest a your hotel look like? Story time: around 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening I left my office, when my umbrella broke steps away from your beautiful hotel. I entered a residence building connected to the Ritz Carlton and planned to go up to the bar before a 7:00 meeting. I went up to the bar but I couldn't get a menu (or a getting) from the bartender. Everything was great, only complaint was that there was never a doorman outside of the hotel to help with luggage or bags. Went shopping on two different days coming back with bags and not a soul offered to help. We stayed for several days and only saw them on the last day and they just looked at us as our car showed up and we packed our luggage ourselves. Other than that, the views are great, room was spacious and clean for a city hotel and location cannot be beat!
Great rooms, good service Breakfast can be improved, quality of the food was pretty mediocre and tools ages to arrive
