The setting alone in Rancho Santa Fe did half the healing for me, sunny, private, with pools and outdoor space that made it feel less clinical and more like I was actually allowed to rest. But the individual sessions were where the real work happened. My therapist never pushed faster than I could handle.

I didn't have one big traumatic event, just years of complex trauma from childhood that I'd never really named as trauma before.
