My friend and I went for mani/pedi and used our gift cards. Service was great for me, however for my friend they filed her toe nails too short and slightly cut some toes. Another note, the check out process with manager Nancy was another situation. I felt she was trying to get over on us and not give us receipts or gift card balances or not even telling us the truth. This is my favorite spa in Baton Rouge. The whole staff is welcoming and friendly. Ana, my massage therapist, was awesome. I can’t wait to go back! I’m definitely going to be treating myself more often. Very relaxing sauna, too.

Had a 30 minute deep tissue massage + 30 cupping last Friday with Richard. He was great! He seemed genuinely interested in what I wanted out of my massage & the cupping treatment. He applied just the right amount of pressure & I felt great when I left. My only complaint is about the lady at the front. No smile or pleasantries were exchanged. She seemed unhappy about being at work that day. She may need a refresher in hospitality & customer service.

I’ve been here several times and I won’t be back. Wayyy too expensive for the level of service and quality of the spa (which has gone downhill). Robes need to be replaced and/or bleached. There seems to be only one shower. No products for washing face, broken equipment in massage rooms, etc. Asked to have the head rest adjusted up before my massage began and was told “it’s been falling all day”...then it FELL DURING MY MASSAGE. First time massage at The Retreat with Richard! I sit at a desk and I lift weights so my back and neck are always in pain with tension! BEST MASSAGE I’ve had in a while! Left there able to drop my shoulders completely with no more tension pain! Highly recommend!
